Half and half

I NEED MODELS! now i have a couple issues with this. i need them but i dont have the money it takes to pay the models. as i am now living in chicago i dont know anyone like i did back home that i can snag and have them pose for me. any ideas as to how to find some models? i could try craigslist or onemodelplace.com i suppose (although onemodelplace.com costs money ew gross) anyways. on the other side of this i also need money/time/equipment to do things like this.

oh! something just struck me. i could (and this could be mildly envigorating) go to a convention of sorts and/or a sporting event. alright! now to find such a thing :P wooo :D

you could try using the "neighbor's" feature. maybe there's someone nearby who might be willing. a trade of some sort?

Does OMP charge for photographers? I've got a free model account on that site, but I suspect the site it harder to navigate if you don't subscribe.

lol i have a profile on OMP actually :P member # 145205 and yeah they do charge for photographers unfortunatly ($10 a year for their lowest membership)

you should also use modelmayhem.com, and offer a tfp shoot that way you can offer them copies of the work for use in their own modeling portfolio. all you need to do is look for someone in your area.

i do actually use modelmayhem and unfortunatly for me i think that i am too young to be taken seriously as a potential photographer for the majority of the people on that particular website. I do keep plugging away at it though and throw up the occasional announcement on the main page but it hardly ever does anything. i haven't checked out those other sites so much appreciated for the links! :)

Don't models or actors need cool pictures for a portfolio just like you?

If so just find a local college or school with such. I would be suprised if they expected money.

Or make friends with local high school kids...might be illegal, but exciting. ;)
